ETL Developer (Datastage)

Chicago, IL or Dallas, TX

Key Responsibilities:

1. ETL Development : Design, develop, and implement ETL processes using IBM Datastage to integrate data from multiple sources, including XML, Teradata, and SQL databases.
2. Database Management : Work with Teradata and SQL to perform database queries, data extraction, and transformation activities.
3. Automation & Scheduling : Use Control-M for job scheduling, automating workflows, and ensuring smooth execution of ETL jobs.
4. Performance Tuning : Optimize ETL performance by identifying bottlenecks in data processing and improving system efficiency.
5. Scripting : Develop and maintain scripts for data processing, automation, and system tasks, enhancing operational workflows.
6. Data Quality and Integrity : Ensure high-quality data flow, error handling, and troubleshooting for ETL processes.
   

Desired Experience:

• Experience in Datastage ETL development.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Teradata databases.
• Familiarity with XML processing and Control-M for job scheduling.
• Knowledge of performance tuning and data optimization techniques.
• Proficient in scripting languages like Shell, Perl, or Python for automation
