A TekStream client, an innovative start-up dedicated to providing cutting-edge financial services solutions, has an amazing full-time / perm opportunity for a Data Scientist.
Applicants must currently reside in the Atlanta area and open to being onsite 3x per week.
In this pivotal role, the Data Scientist will leverage data to drive innovation and deliver cutting-edge solutions. This role focuses on developing models, deriving data-driven insights, and creating strategies using both machine learning and traditional statistical methodologies. You will be integral to the research, development, and productionalization of advanced analytical methods, including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Predictive Analytics.
What we're looking for...
- 5+ years of experience in data science, with a focus on machine learning, predictive modeling, and data analytics
- Proven experience deploying machine learning models and pipelines in production environments, particularly within cloud platforms and microservices architectures
- Recent deployment of modern classification models (e.g. GBDT such as LightGBM and deep neural nets)
- Experience building ML systems from scratch with limited initial infrastructure
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience with NLP and LLM
- Strong knowledge of data governance, compliance, and ethical AI practices
- Familiarity with financial or policy-related data (preferred)
- Experience with data visualization tools and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS), along with familiarity with MLOps
