Alphanumeric is hiring a Project Manager - Construction Technical Authority Level 3 to support our long-standing pharmaceutical client of 20+ years. This role plays a critical part in managing all safety and environmental requirements throughout the life cycle of large-scale construction projects.
In this high-impact position, you will ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, safety standards, and contractor protocols. You'll lead and oversee all Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) aspects from planning through project completion.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
A. Preconstruction EHS Planning
- Review project scope, site conditions, and safety requirements across all stakeholders.
- Lead constructability reviews and contribute to contracting and procurement strategy.
- Develop EHS strategies in alignment with regulatory and client standards.
- Draft and finalize the Construction Safety Plan (pCSP) for contractor selection.
- Vet all contractors and their key personnel for EHS compliance.
- Ensure EHS competency across all involved personnel.
B. Construction EHS Oversight
- Approve final Construction Safety Plan (CSP) and ensure display of key safety materials onsite.
- Conduct assurance meetings bi-weekly, audit safe systems, and monitor EHS deliverables.
- Collaborate with contractors to benchmark and continuously improve safety outcomes.
C. Coordination with Host Site and Corporate EHS
- Maintain alignment with site leadership and corporate EHS on responsibility boundaries.
- Oversee a smooth transition of EHS duties at project completion.
- Ensure proper documentation and execution of the Transfer of Responsibility (ToR).
What You Bring:
- Strong background in managing EHS for complex construction projects.
- Familiarity with local/state/federal safety and environmental regulations.
- Prior experience working on pharmaceutical, life sciences, or regulated construction sites.
- Must be eligible to work on a W2 contract.
🎓 Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- PMP Certification preferred
