Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Bilingual Health and Wellness Coach fluent in English and Spanish to join our team. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about community health, wellness, and providing education and support to diverse populations. The ideal candidate will have experience in personal training, wellness coaching, nutrition, and community health outreach programs, with a strong understanding of health plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), particularly eClinicalWorks (ECW) is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide bilingual (English/Spanish) coaching and education on wellness, nutrition, fitness, and lifestyle changes.
- Offer personalized guidance to individuals and groups to improve their physical health, emotional well-being, and overall quality of life.
- Conduct outreach initiatives to engage with underserved populations, promoting health and wellness programs.
- Coordinate and participate in health screenings, community events, and wellness fairs.
- Educate clients on their Medicare and Medicaid benefits and guide them in navigating health plan options.
- Develop, lead, and evaluate group wellness classes and fitness programs that cater to diverse community needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, wellness plans, and progress in eClinicalWorks (ECW), ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Develop and distribute culturally relevant health education materials and resources in both English and Spanish.
Qualifications:
- Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written) – required.
- 2-3 years of experience in personal training, wellness coaching, or recreational wellness activities.
- Strong understanding of nutrition and behavior change strategies.
- Experience with community health outreach programs and public health education.
- Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid health plans and how to assist clients in understanding their benefits.
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), especially eClinicalWorks (ECW).
- Health-related certification (e.g., ACE, NASM, CHES) preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
