Estimator
Position Overview The Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project specifications and requirements, preparing detailed cost estimates, and providing support to the project team during the bidding process. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are completed within budget and meet quality standards, particularly in the commercial painting and coatings sector.
Key Responsibilities - Review project plans and specifications to determine cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates based on project scope and requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to gather relevant information for bids.
- Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and requirements.
- Analyze historical data to develop pricing strategies and cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to gather pricing information and negotiate contracts.
Qualifications - Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction or commercial painting industry.
- Strong knowledge of estimating software and tools.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
