Location : Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska

Duties:

Provide music activities for Catholic worship services, including playing, training, and scheduling music in collaboration with the Catholic Priest.
Offer director and accompaniment services for rehearsals, liturgies, and special liturgies such as memorial masses, funerals, combined services, and faith-specific holidays.
Lead the choir and congregation in worship, collaborate on musical selections, and support the Catholic worship service.
Administer documentation of services performed and ensure timely payment for subcontractor services.
Coordinate all music activities of the Catholic program.
Ensure all facilities and equipment used are properly secured and maintained.

Requirements:

Degree in music from an accredited institution (or a minimum of four years of experience in Catholic Church music).
Knowledge of Catholic liturgy and traditional Christian music.
Proficiency in piano and/or guitar (preferred instrument is piano).
Previous experience in a Catholic military chapel setting is preferred.
Ability to lead a choir and play music required for Mass.
