Job Title: Software Engineer
Job Description As a Software Engineer, you will lead software development for rail simulation projects, supporting the project manager on all technical aspects and interfacing with customers. You will lead a diverse team of simulation product development professionals and be responsible for the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of rail simulation products. Your role includes creating, modifying, and configuring train simulation software in C++, troubleshooting and debugging using Microsoft Visual Studio, leading the hardware/software development and integration phases, and participating in device installation, testing, and corrections. Additionally, you will provide updates, test software before deployment, offer technical leadership, participate in maintenance, recommend efficiency enhancements, and contribute to documentation and design documents.
Hard Skills
- BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Programming or transferrable discipline
- 5+ years of C++ Development
- 5+ years of Training Simulation development experience
- Expert level experience/training in C language and Software/Hardware integration

Work Site
This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Jacksonville, Florida and some days remote.
Work Environment
Initially full-time in-office to familiarize with proprietary software, followed by a hybrid schedule with a couple of days per week in-office. Some travel is required for simulator deliveries, including 1-2 weeks on-site with customers in the US and Canada. Pet friendly!!
