Job Description
Woman owned and operated, The Coffee Tree Roasters has been a Pittsburgh favorite for 30 years. We are seeking hard working, enthusiastic individuals to fill our part-time and full time barista positions at our Mount Lebanon location. Must have flexible hours with weekend availability.
Essential Functions:
- Provide excellent customer service in a timely fashion
- Prepare and serve drinks and food in accordance with health code and Coffee Tree standards
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment
- Perform opening and closing procedures
- Restocking food and retail displays
Basic Qualifications:
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
- Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Meet all policies and standards, including providing quality beverages and food products, cash handling and store safety and security
- Engage with and understand our customers, including discovering and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication
- Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to learn quickly
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to build relationships
- Ability to multi-task with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced work environment
Starts at $11.25 + tips / Benefits for full or part time / free drinks while working / employee discount
This a union position with UFCW Local 1776 (after 90 probation period)
