Job Title: Personnel Security Specialist
Job Summary:
Looking for experienced Personnel Security Specialists to join the team. This role involves preparing and managing personnel security case files, supporting adjudicative processes, and assisting with administrative security functions in a professional office setting.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Compile and submit detailed case file packages that adhere to government guidelines, ensuring they are ready for adjudication.
- Initiate and oversee the Electronic Questionnaire for Investigations Processing (e-QIP) or its successor, including coordinating fingerprint submissions.
- Receive, verify, and process all required documentation and case files.
- Assist with security audits, daily access control, visitor badging, mail handling, and general office support tasks.
- Enter case data into the Personnel Security (PERSEC) systems accurately, managing an estimated 12,000 annual case requests.
- Communicate promptly and professionally with SECCEN customers through phone and email.
Qualifications:
- Years of experience in adjudicating personnel security background investigations for federal employment eligibility.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and excellent documentation practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, along with knowledge of project management concepts.
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
- Must be able to work onsite in Chesapeake, VA.
