What Success Looks Like In This Job Under general direction of the Air and Space Port FBO Manager the Aviation Business Specialist plans, directs, and monitors all aspects of the FBO's customer service functions, including customer complaints, and resolutions. The incumbent serves as the first Customer Service contact for all FBO services and is also responsible for assisting the FBO Manager on all related duties to promote and disseminate information to FBO Airport Customers to make Colorado Air and Space Port the premiere choice in general aviation and aerospace.
Examples of Duties for Success - Maintain a professional image and ensure all customers receive the highest level of customer service available to promote the expansion of business.
- Ability to multi-task with shifting priorities in a time sensitive environment.
- Fulfill part of Command Center functions for aircraft incidents/accidents using standard guidelines. Respond to emergency situations with expediency and accuracy.
- Develop procedures to improve the counter functions; maintain records associated with support tasks and oversee the airport's tracking systems.
- Professional communication skills and a high degree of proficiency with Microsoft Outlook/Excel.
- Maintain and reconcile Daily/Weekly/Monthly opening and closing reports and Deposits with high degree of attention to details.
- Updating and maintaining customer databases and files for both internal and external customers.
- Invoice customers accurately and efficiently for services at the point of sale.
- Set up and review customer accounts - weekly A/R reports and proactively reach out to customers for collection opportunities.
- Manage Monthly Inventory Reconciliation Reporting and identify discrepancies.
- Cross train with other departments to utilize staffing needs.
- Continued participation airport/airfield knowledge through Airport Organization Classes and Certifications, as well as Adams County Learning & Development Program.
- Perform general cleaning of terminal, workspaces, and facility, as needed.
- Facilitate vendor relationships and initiate process changes to maximize efficiencies.
- Maintain flexible/reachable on-call status for daily problems that occur after scheduled hours which may include a 4-10 hour/day schedule with weekends/holidays.
- Coordinate and meet with internal teams frequently to maintain coordinated efforts, direction, and highest level of customer service possible.
- Oversee standard UNICOM and radio operations, weather dissemination of information to the flying public, and safe driving of the shuttle vehicle services.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications for Success - Experience:
- At least three (3) years' experience excelling as a forward-facing customer service position which included point of sale interaction.
- General knowledge of aviation preferred but not required.
- Education and Training : High school diploma or GED equivalent required. College degree preferred.
- License or Certificate: Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Colorado Driver's License.
- Background Check : Must pass a criminal background check

- Regularly required to sit, walk, and drive vehicles. Will require the use of hands, fingers, to handle or feel objects, control, or reach with hands and arms
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Vision abilities include close and far vision and ability to adjust focus
