We are helping our client find an Automotive Technician to help ensure the Client's fleet of autonomous vehicles is in good, working order to both maximize service uptime and provide safe, reliable service to its customers.
In this role, you will be responsible for regular vehicle inspections, scheduled maintenance, aftermarket modifications, and working with vendors to resolve any mechanical issues.
The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive fleet maintenance, with a preference for experience in autonomous fleet maintenance.
As an Automotive Technician, you'll:
- Perform regular delivery and scheduled inspections based on vendor preventative maintenance schedules.
- Partner with the client's Command Center to diagnose and resolve issues with the client’s fleet of autonomous vehicles.
Support all vehicle maintenance activities, including:
- Documenting maintenance procedures and service manuals.
- Participating in Client's change management and incident management procedures for preparation of planned and unplanned maintenance.
- Ensuring consistent implementation of inspection and maintenance procedures across all client service areas.
- Working closely with the manufacturer to procure and maintain spare parts and associated inventory.
- Manage aftermarket modifications to client’s autonomous vehicles.
- Effectively organize work across multiple priorities and programs.
- Maintain vendor maintenance certifications (training will be provided).
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in mechanical engineering technology or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience working in the automotive industry with a focus on fleet maintenance; autonomous fleet maintenance experience preferred
- Strong experience working with electrical systems
- ASE certifications (A Series, H Series, and L3 preferred)
- Automotive technician and/or dealership experience preferred
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
- Must have a clean driving record
- Must possess the following:
- Ability to work with proprietary software to diagnose issues with and calibrate vehicle components
- Ability to identify issues and make recommendations to improve existing processes
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics

- Ability to work weekends as needed
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, or kneeling predominately in an outdoor environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Must be able to travel up to 25%
