Job Summary:
We are seeking an Audio Visual Technician (On-Call) to join our team in Rhode Island. The Audio Visual Technician will be responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting audio and visual equipment for various events, meetings, and conferences.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in audio visual technology is a plus
- Proven experience working with audio visual equipment such as microphones, speakers, projectors, and lighting systems
- Knowledge of different audio and video connectors, cables, and signal flow
- Strong troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and resolve audio visual equipment issues
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments
- Flexibility to work on-call and irregular hours, including evenings and weekends
Responsibilities:
- Set up, test, operate, and troubleshoot audio and visual equipment for events, meetings, and conferences
- Ensure all equipment is in working order and set up according to specifications
- Assist presenters and speakers with operating microphones, projectors, and other audio visual equipment
- Monitor audio levels and adjust sound as needed during events
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during events
- Maintain and clean audio visual equipment after each use
- Keep inventory of audio visual equipment and report any maintenance needs
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and event attendees
