Intellectual Property Associate – Law Firm – Chicago, IL

Practice Area: Intellectual Property – Patent & Trademark Prosecution & Litigation

Compensation: $230,000–$280,000 base salary

This is an exciting opportunity for a mid-level associate to work on complex, high-value patent and trademark matters with a dynamic and collaborative IP team.

What You’ll Do

• Work on sophisticated patent and trademark prosecution and litigation matters
• Draft patent applications and manage prosecution strategies
• Conduct legal research and write compelling briefs and pleadings
• Collaborate with partners and clients on IP strategy and enforcement
• Participate in business development initiatives and client presentations

What We’re Looking For

• 2–5 years of IP experience, with a focus on patent and trademark prosecution and litigation
• Demonstrated experience drafting patent applications
• Strong writing, research, communication, and organizational skills
• Degree in Electrical Engineering (or closely related field)
• J.D. with strong academic credentials
• Admission in Illinois (or pending) and registered, or eligible to register, with the USPTO
