Job Description
We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Appliance and Furniture Delivery Driver and Helper to join our team. This role is responsible for delivering and assembling appliances and furniture to customers' homes or businesses in a safe, professional, and timely manner. The ideal candidate will have excellent driving skills, be physically fit for handling large items, and provide exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery and Installation: Safely transport appliances and furniture to customers' homes, ensuring all items arrive in good condition.
- Customer Interaction: Provide friendly, courteous service to customers during deliveries. Answer any questions they may have and assist with product setup or installation, if applicable.
- Loading and Unloading: Load appliances and furniture onto the delivery vehicle, ensuring items are properly secured for transport. Unload items at the customer's location and help place them in the designated area.
- Assembly and Setup: When required, assist in assembling or setting up appliances and furniture at the customer's location.
- Route Planning: Plan delivery routes to ensure timely arrival and efficient delivery schedules.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines for vehicle operation, product handling, and delivery procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Inventory Management: Ensure that all delivered items are properly checked off and recorded. Report any damage or issues with products immediately.
- Customer Satisfaction: Strive to exceed customer expectations and address any concerns or issues with professionalism and a positive attitude.
Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Previous Delivery Experience (preferred but not required).
- Ability to Lift Heavy Items: Must be able to lift and carry heavy furniture and appliances (50 lbs or more).
- Good Communication Skills: Ability to interact with customers, follow instructions, and report issues clearly.
- Customer Service Orientation: Friendly, helpful, and professional demeanor at all times.
- Basic Assembly Skills: Ability to assemble furniture or appliances if needed.
- Dependability: Punctual and reliable, with the ability to adhere to delivery schedules.
- Clean Driving Record: Ability to operate a company vehicle safely and efficiently.
Working Conditions:
- This position may require occasional weekend or evening hours depending on delivery schedules.
- Physical labor is required, including lifting, bending, and moving heavy items.
- Delivery drivers will spend a majority of their time on the road and must be comfortable with long hours of driving.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $160.00 - $200.00 per day
