Camarillo Flight Instruction (CFI) is a well-established Part 61 flight school at Camarillo Airport (KCMA) with an immediate opening for an experienced Aircraft Mechanic A&P to join its in-house maintenance team.
Position Overview:
This position works as part of a team, reporting to Lead Mechanic (IA) to perform required inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance on piston flight training aircraft with a keen attention to detail, and above all else, an unwavering focus on safety. Primary aircraft to be worked on include DA-40/42, C172, and PA-28. This person is involved in the full life cycle of maintenance including planning the maintenance scheduling and determining strategic priorities to maximize up time of the fleet, A&D research / compliance, parts research and ordering, troubleshooting, general wrench turning for things like tire / oil changes, 100 hr. and annual inspections, addressing pilot squawks, complete overhauls, and maintaining aircraft logbooks.

3+ years GA mechanic experience on single engine piston aircraft
Valid FAA A&P license
Experience completing 100 hr. inspections independently or as part of a team
Experience in a flight school environment a plus but not required
High level of dependability (time and attendance)
Compensations:
$35-$45 Per Hour (part-time, full-time positions, and flex schedule positions available)
