Our Refrigeration Mechanic position will maintain the environment climate of the East District 7 buildings in relationship to temperature, ventilation, and humidity to provide a healthy and comfortable environment for employees to function safely and efficiently. The incumbent will also be responsible for:
- Provides technical assistance and labor as needed for the East District buildings.
- Provides journey-level service, maintenance and repair to all refrigeration, HVAC, and chilled water systems by maintaining and repairing all air conditioning and HVAC systems, including all BAS systems, so that all equipment is operating in the most efficient manner and major breakdowns are kept to a minimum.
- Assists with other facility related duties as needed including snow removal at the Mankato Headquarters.
- Work may involve some early mornings, weekends and/or nights.

Here are the Minimum Qualifications:
- Two (2) or more years of journey-level refrigeration mechanic experience in the maintenance and repair of major air conditioning and refrigeration systems (for example - central air conditioning, window air conditioners, HVAC, and commercial refrigeration.) NOTE: Appliance or home refrigerator repair will not meet the minimum qualifications.
- EPA Type 2 Certification for Handling of Refrigerants.
- A valid Class D Driver’s License if driving a state vehicle or seeking reimbursement.
