Role Description

As the Adolescent Lead Montessori Guide focusing on Science and Math, you will lead and inspire students in grades 6-10 through the Montessori methodology. Your responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging lessons in science and math, fostering critical thinking, supporting project-based learning, and guiding the social and emotional development of adolescents. Collaboration with other teachers, maintaining student progress records, and communication with parents will also be essential. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Gainesville, FL.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and expertise in Science and Math, along with the ability to teach these subjects to adolescents effectively.
  • Experience with Montessori principles, and a Montessori certification (or willingness to obtain one), is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent classroom management, mentorship, and student engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in tailoring lesson plans for diverse student needs and fostering project-based, hands-on learning experiences.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues, manage documentation, and engage parents.
  • Passion for working with adolescents and creating a supportive, stimulating learning environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, Math, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or specialized Montessori training are a plus.

Salary: $52,000
