Position Summary:
Ski / Snowboarding instructor assigned to teach and supervise children from the ages of 3 to 14 in a six-hour program. This is a seasonal position and applicants must be 16 years old or older . Full-time and part-time positions are available.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Be Knowledgeable in the principles and application of teaching Snowsports and can demonstrate and communicate that knowledge clearly and positively.
- Be able to maintain a safe learning environment.
- Be enthusiastic and outgoing.
- Accept all assignments with equal enthusiasm.
- Be professional and knowledgeable in all aspects of Jiminy Peak, including lodging, food and beverage, and lifts.
- Be well groomed and in proper uniform including a helmet, jacket, and name tag.
- Able to adhere to Jiminy Peak’s mission, vision, and core values.
- Able to be punctual and adhere to a set schedule.
- Be able to House Mouse which requires looking after children who no longer want to ski, this is an indoor position.
Qualifications:
- Must be 16 yrs. or older.
- Able to ski/ride to an intermediate or “blue square” level.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
- If over 18, you must submit to a Criminal Background Check (CORI).
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS HOLIDAYS.
